This extensive bathroom renovation project in Caversham, Reading involved the complete transformation of two existing bathrooms into a beautifully designed family bathroom and a brand-new ensuite connected directly to the master bedroom.
The project required significant remodelling works, including removing the wall between the original bathrooms, constructing new partitions, creating a new ensuite doorway, relocating plumbing and drainage, installing a new soil stack, and completely redesigning both spaces from the ground up.
By carefully reconfiguring the layout, we were able to provide the homeowners with a spacious main bathroom featuring a bath and shower combination, alongside a luxurious ensuite with a large walk-in shower and contemporary fitted furniture.
The finished result combines practical family living with premium design, featuring bespoke furniture, brushed brass fixtures, decorative tiling, luxury lighting and carefully considered storage solutions throughout.
The Project
The first stage involved stripping both existing bathrooms back to shell condition.
We removed all sanitaryware, wall tiling, flooring, lighting, pipework and boxing-in before opening up the space by removing the dividing wall between the two rooms.
Our team then completed all structural alterations, renewed plasterboarding where required, installed new plumbing and electrical services, constructed a new wall to form the revised room layouts and created a new doorway linking the master bedroom to its new ensuite.
A new soil stack was also installed, routed through the property and connected into the existing foul drainage system to accommodate the redesigned bathroom layouts.
